In Kuching... with Ong again..

Currently, I'm in Kuching staying in Grand Continental Hotel (i wish it would be Holiday Inn or Crowne Plaza, more nearer to heart of Kuching) bringing up MGw & mux integration for our customer... I hope I can learn as much as I can, because after this I'll be doing it on my own.... huhuhuhuh

Last night, by boat, we went over-Sarawak-river, to the other side to buy Kek Lapis... Got try some local dishes such as Laksa Sarawak (taste/looks like mee kari only), Mee Kolok, Tea C Beng...

Many sweet experience...

Things are getting much more better now.... Thanks for my baby Zetty for ur understanding.. Miss u a lot...

I'm in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah!

Huh.. It's been a very long time since I last wrote in this blog.. Too bz I think..

I'm now as a Network Support Engineer, doing start up & mux integration at DiGi Kelombong, KK for 1 week.. A really nice place to be & work... Currently staying in Imperial International Hotel (Deluxe Room somemore hehehehe...)

Last night, I went to 1 Borneo, the biggest shooping mall in Borneo (Sabah, Sarawak & Kalimantan).. Quite nice the place..

On the way there, I also saw, the tallest building in Sabah, Tun Mustapha Tower (I think), Sabah State Mosque, University Malaysia Sabah, Pejabat Pentadbiran Negeri Sabah ("little Putrajaya") & all the nice sea-side view....

Thanks to Ong because, currently he is mentoring me.. I learn a lot of things from him.... Hopefully 2/3 more times hands on, I can execute job on my own...

Telco Operators in Malaysia..

Currently, there are 4 telco network providers in Malaysia, namely Maxis (012/017), Celcom (019/013), DiGi (016) & U-Mobile (018).

I've got experience to work in all of these operators for the last 3 years in various projects...

Celcom (Mar - June 2006) - I've been given 'once in a lifetime' chance to join Celcom for 3 months as a trainee. It is a very good experience for me as I get to know more about telco network, mainly on 3G network.. Mainly what I did is 3G Voice & Video call testing.. After completion of this 3 months short spell at Celcom, for the 1st time in my uni life, I got 2 times dean list for 3.84 & 3.92.. Billion thanks to Q, Kak Noi, Nori, Amin & all the PSI team for sharing their knowledge with me...

DiGi (Oct 2007) - For 3 weeks, I've been attached to NRO, Ericsson Malaysia to work with DiGi Mobile Softswitch (MSS) team.. At that time, they're doing MSS [ Media Gateway & MSC server ] startup & integration.. I've been monitoring ELS guys doing startup & integrationof one of the DiGi MGW in Penang...

U-Mobile (Nov 2007 - Apr 2008) - This is my first real working experience with Ericsson Malaysia as a Network Performance & Optimization Engineer.. In here, I have a chance to learn how to do optimization for U-Mobile's network.. Although there's not much opti job can be done since U-Mobile RAN network haven' t been accepted yet, but I got to know opti tools such as TEMS & other supporting sw such as Statics, MCOM 3G & Nexplorer.. I've also got a chance to do drive test..

Maxis ( May 2008 - present ) - Now, I'm doing Sw License Handling, liasing with people from Maxis-KAM, PMO, Maxis Project team, Maxis EOT, Solutions, Logistic, CLC (Sweden) & also guy from Maxis HQ.. It's such a wonderful experience to work together with different people from different departments & organizations... Now I do the job that I really like.. I feel needed here..
